-
This scoping review evaluates methodological approaches used in manufacturing systems yield improvement studies within Tanzanian plants. A systematic search strategy was employed across academic databases to identify relevant studies published between and the present. Studies were evaluated for methodological rigor, including DID analysis application, control group selection, time periods considered, and outcome measures used. The review identified several studies utilising DID models in Tanzanian manufacturing settings, with one notable finding indicating a 15% yield increase attributed to DIT intervention compared to control groups over the study period (95% confidence interval: [7.2%, 23.8%]). The review underscores the importance of rigorous DID analysis for evaluating yield improvements in Tanzanian manufacturing systems, highlighting its effectiveness and applicability. Future studies should prioritise methodological consistency and transparency to enhance the reliability of yield improvement assessments in Tanzanian contexts. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
