- <p>The industrialization of Ethiopia has led to an increasing demand for machinery in various sectors such as mining, manufacturing, and construction. A mixed-method approach was employed, incorporating surveys, interviews, and financial data analysis to assess the performance and costs of existing fleets. The analysis revealed that a specific fleet management system reduced operational costs by approximately 15% compared to traditional methods. This study provides evidence for the potential cost savings in industrial machinery fleets through optimised management strategies, which can be replicated across Ethiopia's industries. Industrial stakeholders should consider implementing similar fleet optimization systems to enhance their operations and reduce costs. The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.</p>
