- <p><span>The article examines the category of economic efficiency as an expression of the intersection of motives guiding economic actors operating at different hierarchical levels. Both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of efficiency are identified and analyzed. Possible development trajectories of a production system based on efficiency principles are explored, and their interrelationships are established. The study also reviews existing approaches to assessing the economic efficiency of production system functioning.</span></p>
