- <p>Equilibrium is a forced compression slot, not a bath assumption.</p> <p>This paper derives an equilibrium corridor for coarse-grained open dynamics from the CPTP slot plus (i) a stationary-state slot and (ii) an exact detailed-balance symmetry at the effective tier. It yields a quadratic Lyapunov-type monotone toward equilibrium and shows that mixing to a unique stationary slot pressures memory collapse: long-horizon distinguishability (and witness growth) saturates, making effective Markov descriptions admissible in relaxing regimes.</p>
