  • <p>Nigeria has implemented monitoring networks to assess ecological restoration efforts across various regions. These networks are crucial for understanding the effectiveness of these initiatives and guiding future policies. The study employs a fixed effects regression model with clustered standard errors to analyse variance across different regions. The statistical model is represented as $y_{it} = eta_0 + eta_1X_{it} + u_i + v_t + e_{it}$, where $y_{it}$ represents the cost-effectiveness score for region $i$ in year $t$, $X_{it}$ includes indicators of monitoring practices and outcomes, $u_i$ accounts for regional fixed effects, and $v_t$ captures time-specific unobserved heterogeneity. The analysis reveals a significant positive correlation (p < 0.05) between the frequency of data collection and cost-effectiveness scores across monitored regions in Nigeria. The findings underscore the importance of consistent monitoring practices for enhancing the efficiency and reliability of ecological restoration projects in Nigeria. Policy makers are encouraged to establish standardised protocols for regional monitoring networks, ensuring uniformity and comparability in data collection methods.</p>
