-
The African University in Ghana is a focal point for research and knowledge production within the country's academic landscape. A comparative study approach was employed, involving qualitative data analysis from interviews with faculty members and students, as well as document reviews of publications and research projects conducted at the institution over a decade. The findings indicate that while the university has produced significant academic outputs in African Studies, there is room for improvement in terms of both quantity and quality of dissemination efforts. Despite challenges in knowledge dissemination, the university demonstrates substantial potential for enhancing its role as a hub of research and education within Ghanaian academia. Recommendations include fostering stronger partnerships with local communities and industries to increase relevance and impact of research outputs.
