•
Community health centres in South Africa play a crucial role in primary healthcare delivery, yet their effectiveness is not uniformly evaluated. A comprehensive search strategy was employed across multiple databases focusing on articles published from to . Studies were assessed using PRISMA guidelines, with inclusion criteria based on study design, population, interventions, outcomes, and geographic location. Findings indicate a significant variation in adoption rates of community health centres across different regions, ranging from 48% to 75%, suggesting geographical disparities need further investigation. This review highlights the importance of standardised methodologies for evaluating community health centre effectiveness and identifies areas requiring more research attention. Future studies should prioritise longitudinal assessments and incorporate qualitative feedback to enhance understanding of implementation challenges and benefits. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
