The hypothesis proposed that there would be no significant difference in mental well-being between male and female athletes. A sample of 200 players (100 male and 100 female) was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results showed that male players (M = 141.14, SD = 5.71) and female players (M = 141.00, SD = 5.88) did not differ significantly in their mental health scores. The calculated t-value (0.17) and p-value (0.86) exceeded the 0.05 threshold, confirming the hypothesis. These findings suggest that gender does not play a significant role in determining mental health among basketball players in Nagpur.</span></em></p>
