- <p><b><i>Gonimbrasia gueinzii</i> (Staudinger, 1872)</b></p><p>COMMON NAME(S): Saturniid.</p><p>SYNONYM(S): None.</p><p>IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).</p><p>DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.</p><p>LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.</p><p>LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants for the taxon include: six Myrtaceae species (<i>Eucalyptus paniculata Sm.</i>, <i>E. saligna Sm.</i>, <i>E. diversicolor</i> F.Muell., <i>E. melliodora</i> A.Cunn. ex Schauer, <i>E. drepanophylla</i> F.Muell. ex Benth. and <i>E.</i> <i>cladocalyx</i> F.Muell.), one Anacardiaceae species (<i>Schinus mole</i> L.), and two Rosaceae species (<i>Prunus cerasus</i> L. and <i>P. serotina</i> Ehrh.) in Kenya (Gardner 1957); one Meliaceae species (<i>Khaya grandifoliola</i> C.DC.) in Uganda (Gardner 1957); one Myrtaceae species (<i>Eucalyptus</i> sp.) in Tanzania (Gardner 1957); one Myrsinaceae species (<i>Maesa alnifolia</i> Harv.), one Melianthaceae species (<i>Bersama abyssinica</i> Fresen.), three Fabaceae species (<i>Cajanus cajan</i> (L.) Millsp., <i>Eriosema</i> sp. and <i>Pseudarthria</i> sp.), one Myrtaceae species (<i>Eucalyptus camaldulensis</i> Dehnh.), one Combretaceae species (<i>Combretum</i> sp.), two Rosaceae species (<i>Cotoneaster</i> sp. and <i>Rosa</i> sp.), one Euphorbiaceae species (<i>Croton macrostachyus</i> Hochst. ex Delile), one Cupressaceae species (<i>Cupressus lusitanica</i> Mill.), one Ebenaceae species (<i>Euclea</i> sp.) and one Pinaceae species (<i>Pinus patula</i> Schiede ex Schltdl. & Cham.) in unnamed African countries.
