-
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an integral part of business operations worldwide, particularly in resource-rich countries like Angola where multinational corporations (MNCs) are increasingly active. The research employs a mixed-method approach with semi-structured interviews as the primary data collection method. A purposive sampling strategy was used to select participants from various sectors and geographical regions within Angola. Initial findings suggest that while some MNCs demonstrate significant engagement in CSR initiatives, particularly focusing on education and healthcare, there is a notable gap in environmental protection measures compared to their domestic operations. The study highlights the need for a more comprehensive CSR framework that integrates environmental sustainability with traditional social responsibility areas. MNCs operating in Angola are encouraged to develop tailored CSR strategies considering local contexts, and governmental bodies should consider implementing regulations that promote environmental protection within their operations.
