  • <p>Manufacturing systems in Tanzania have been subject to various interventions aimed at improving productivity and cost-effectiveness. The review utilised a comprehensive search strategy across academic databases, including systematic screening of titles and abstracts, full-text reviews, and analysis of study methodologies. A notable finding was the predominance of regression analysis in estimating cost-effectiveness, with an estimated coefficient of determination (R²) for some studies ranging between 0.65 and 0.72, indicating a moderate to strong explanatory power. The review highlighted the need for more robust quasi-experimental designs that account for potential confounding variables in cost-effectiveness evaluations. Researchers are advised to incorporate longitudinal studies and multivariate analyses to enhance the reliability of their findings.
