•
The Douiret-Sbâa Ecomuseum preserves the living heritage of its community in the Figuig region of Morocco. The Ecomuseum safeguards centuries-old water management traditions developed around the Ain Sbaâ spring, where a carved wooden trunk daily measures time and water shares. This Ecomuseum, co-created with the community, celebrates both material and intangible heritage - from ancient irrigation systems to social rituals - inviting you to discover a sustainable, community-driven vision shaped by water, culture, and the frugality of a simple life moving to the rhythm of nature. The main element of the intangible heritage preserved and cared for by the Ecomuseum is briefly summarized in this video, however much more is cared for and preserved by the community and the village.
