In West Bengal, several government initiatives such as Kanyashree Prakalpa, Anandadhara (Self-Help Groups), Sabuj Sathi, and skill development programs have contributed significantly to enhancing women’s socio-economic status. This study examines the role of education and financial inclusion in promoting women empowerment in West Bengal. The study adopts a qualitative research methodology using thematic analysis of secondary data from government reports, policy documents, and academic literature. The findings reveal that educational access and financial inclusion have significantly improved women’s participation in economic activities, decision-making, and social mobility. However, challenges such as gender discrimination, limited employment opportunities, and socio-cultural barriers persist. The study concludes that education and financial inclusion are critical drivers of empowerment. Strengthening policy implementation, expanding skill development, and improving financial access can enhance women empowerment in West Bengal.</p>
