Rārangi ihirangi:
-
This paper examines WebMCP (Web Model Context Protocol) — an emerging conceptual framework through which AI agents could interact with the web via structured, action-based protocols rather than visual interface interpretation. Building on Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP, 2024), the paper analyses the framework's theoretical benefits, five evidence-informed risk categories, and the implications for human professional careers across all major domains. Drawing on automation economics literature and the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025, the paper argues that automation restructures professional value — it does not eliminate it. Governance prerequisites for responsible deployment are identified. Sources are quality-rated throughout. This paper has not been peer-reviewed.
