-
The purpose of this study is to develop and test the Facilitator-Enhanced Instructional Role Model (FEIRM), aimed at integrating facilitative strategies and simulation-oriented technologies into the training of oil and gas specialists. The methodological framework is based on systemic, activity-based, and facilitative-didactic approaches. The study employed theoretical methods (analysis of scholarly literature), empirical methods (pedagogical experiment, questionnaire survey, and observation), and statistical methods (Student’s t-test and Cohen’s d). The experiment was conducted in technical universities with the participation of control and experimental groups of students. The results demonstrated a statistically significant increase in the level of professional and meta-subject competencies, learning motivation, and reflective skills among students in the experimental groups (p < 0.05; Cohen’s d = 0.82). It was established that the integration of simulation-based learning formats and facilitative strategies ensures more effective specialist training. The FEIRM model was confirmed as an effective tool for modernizing engineering education under the conditions of digital transformation in the oil and gas industry.
