- <p>Abstract</p> <p>This preliminary field report presents a multi-modal dataset documenting repeated observations of a large unidentified felid in the Western Tien Shan region (Oqtosh–Soyliq and Pskem sectors) between 2025 and 2026. The dataset includes high-zoom visual recordings (Samsung S24 Ultra), acoustic material, and metric track measurements (notably 13 × 11 cm and 11 × 8 cm impressions recorded under documented substrate conditions). Behavioral observations include resting posture, tactical repositioning following visual detection, tail curvature, and periodic eye closure while maintaining auditory vigilance. The material does not permit definitive taxonomic identification at this stage. Historical sources (e.g., Baburnama, 1530) and classical zoogeographical literature (Heptner, 1972) are referenced solely for regional context. The present report emphasizes primary field documentation and encourages independent verification through systematic camera-trap deployment, genetic sampling, and spectrographic acoustic analysis.
