  • <p><em><span>Digital surveillance has had a significant impact on the way personal information is collected, processed, and utilized in the modern digital environment. In today’s interconnected world, governments and private organizations increasingly rely on surveillance technologies to ensure national security, public safety, and efficient service delivery. However, the extensive monitoring of digital activities raises serious concerns regarding digital privacy, individual autonomy, and data protection.</span></em></p> <p><em><span>The two major reasons for the rapid growth of digital surveillance are the exponential increase in data generated through the Internet, social media platforms, mobile devices, and IoT technologies, and the advancement of data analytics and monitoring systems capable of processing this data in real time.</span></em></p> <p><em><span>This study examines the impact of surveillance on digital privacy. It traces the evolution of surveillance technologies and their integration into digital communication systems, online platforms, and governance mechanisms. Through a comprehensive review of literature and existing studies, this paper highlights how surveillance practices affect privacy rights, data security, and user behavior. Additionally, the study discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with surveillance in the digital age and explores future trends. Overall, the paper provides insights into balancing security needs with the protection of digital privacy in an increasingly digitally surveilled ecosystem.</span></em></p>
