•
This research discusses the development of an efficient family emergency tent design for temporary shelter for flood victims in Jakarta. The research focus is directed at user needs based on Jakarta's flood conditions, family comfort standards, installation efficiency, modularity, and tent structure safety. The research methods include a literature study, observation of government emergency tent conditions, and surveys of respondents who have and have not evacuated due to floods. The research results indicate that users require tents that are higher than the ground surface, have optimal ventilation, a zoning of family and mother-child spaces, and water-resistant and quick-drying materials. The conclusion of this study produces recommendations for developing an efficient, safe, and needs-appropriate modular tent design for flood victim families.
