•
This dataset (URP-MetaDB) consolidates deterministic empirical parameters extracted from a global meta-analysis of sustainable urban drainage systems, focusing specifically on retention ponds. The database compiles curated information from at least 30 international case studies sourced from peer-reviewed scientific literature. The file includes fundamental hydrological variables, such as inflow hydrograph time series, peak flows, times to peak, and shape factors (with a preliminary fit to Gamma distributions). Concurrently, it documents the geometric and morphological characteristics of the passive infrastructure. The primary purpose of this dataset is to serve as a structured baseline for stochastic hydrological modeling. It acts as the statistical core from which parametric probability functions will be fitted for the large-scale algorithmic generation (via Latin Hypercube Sampling and Iman-Conover correlation) of hydropower recovery scenarios. Provided in an open-source tabular format (.csv) with all variables standardized to the International System of Units (SI), this data complies with FAIR principles. The dataset is designed to be utilized as a benchmark by water resources engineers and researchers focused on consolidating the water-energy nexus within resilient urban infrastructures.
