-
Dr. Deepa Awasthi focuses on the educational intervention programmes being carried out by the Government of Uttar
Pradesh to provide online education to students enrolled in government primary and upper primary schools. According to her during lockdown students of private schools have continued their studies through online classes but students of government schools have faced discrimination in this regard. It was not possible to teach them online due to various reasons, i.e. unavailability of android phone, laptop, high quality internet data, continuous supply of electricity, inability of teachers to teach
online etc. Government of Uttar Pradesh initiated to curb the learning gap through use of mobile applications and online portals i.e. Diksha, Mission Prerna e – pathsala, Prerna Lakshya, Read along and use of Television and All India Radio etc.
