- <p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span>Executive Summary</span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Relapse remains a common challenge in the recovery process from substance use disorders (SUDs), particularly during the transition from structured treatment to community living. Evidence from clinical practice highlights the importance of structured relapse prevention (RP) interventions as part of a broader continuum of care.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>This policy brief draws on clinical observations from a Social Reintegration Unit in Greece and emphasizes the role of cognitive-behavioral relapse prevention strategies in supporting long-term recovery. Findings suggest that integrating evidence-based RP interventions into community-based services can significantly enhance recovery outcomes, reduce relapse risk, and promote social inclusion.</span></p>
