- <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>Generally, Color used in the Interior Design without a scientific study to their principles, symbols, functions, and psychology, in which affect form and space. In contrast, Architecture trends, schools, and theories, in modern age have taken advantages from the advanced studies in colors and their psychological effects on human. This studies assured the psychological side of colors' meanings, signs, and symbols, in addition to their different effects on the activity of humans. Moreover, Artistic schools in the 20th century, like Impressionism, Expressionism, Abstract… have participated in the study of the aesthetic aspect of colors, and their relation to design elements in space. The researcher study the color concept in modern age, and clarify the theories of harmony and contrast of colors. Also he talked about the color philosophy, which include a study of the relation between color and shape, form, space…, and a study of the psychological' colors effects on number of interiors, Residential, Educational, Cultural, Commercial, Health care… Finally, the research end to give the most important considerations and steps that should be followed in the study to any color scheme of an interior space, in a way that achieve the functional aspect as first, and aesthetic aspect as second. </p> <p><strong>الملخص</strong></p> <p>غالبًا ما يستخدم اللون في التصميم الداخلي دون دراسة علمية للألوان وأسس استخدامها،<br>أو معرفة دلالاتها، وتأثيراتها الوظيفية والنفسية في الفراغ، في حين أن اتجاهات العمارة<br>ومدارسها ونظرياتها في العصر الحديث استفادت من الدراسات المتقدمة في مجال الألوان<br>وتأثيراتها النفسية في الإنسان، حيث أكدت كثير من هذه الدراسات أهمية الجانب النفسي<br>المرتبط بمعاني الألوان ودلالاتها الرمزية إلى جانب تأثيراتها المختلفة في مستوى نشاط<br>الإنسان. كما أسهمت المدارس الفنية في القرن العشرين كالانطباعية والتعبيرية<br>والتجريدية... في دراسة البعد الجمالي للألوان وعلاقتها بعناصر التصميم في الفراغ.<br>وقد عمد الباحث إلى دراسة مفهوم اللون في العصر الحديث وبيان نظريات الانسجام<br>والتضاد اللوني، كما تطرق إلى فلسفة اللون بتوضيح علاقة الألوان بعناصر التشكيل في<br>الفراغ، وتأثيراتها النفسية المختلفة لعدد من أنواع الفراغات الداخلية" سكنية، تعليمية،<br>ثقافية، تجارية، صحية..."<br>وخلص البحث إلى تحديد أهم الاعتبارات والخطوات الواجب مراعاتها عند دراسة أي<br>منظومة لونية لأي فراغ داخلي، لتحقيق البعد الوظيفي بداية، والبعد الجمالي نهاية.</p> <p>This version is archived in the Arab International University (AIU) repository for open access and dissemination purposes.
