Regarding genitalia, it is characterized by a single subapical spine on the costa and a subquadrate saccus.

Redescription. Adults (Fig. 2j). Head with dark brown antennae, bipectinate in males and filiform in females; palpi short, dark brown, about 1/3 longer than the height of the eyes. Thorax with patagia and tegulae dark brownish-black; legs light brown; tibial formula 0-2-4. Abdomen dark brown. Forewings subtriangular, coppery brown, lighter in the distal half; termen rounded and slightly oblique; medial band dark brown, slightly sinuous; postmedial band diffuse, marked by pale ochre scales between M 1 –M 3 and CuA 2 –1A+2A, slightly oblique towards the adterminal region; subterminal band whitish along the costa and dark brown on the rest of the wing, zigzagging; discal spot present, blackish brown, diffuse and slightly elongate. Hindwings subrounded, slighlty elongated, reddish-orange with mottled dark brown scales; medial band blackish, wavy; subterminal band smoky, diffuse; terminal band blackish; discal spot present, pale brown, diffuse. Male genitalia (Fig. 10a): uncus hook-shaped, almost as long as valvae; gnathos not developed; valvae sword-shaped, costa sclerotized with a subapical spine; saccus subquadrate, strongly sclerotized, with a subtriangular posterior margin; juxta bilobed, with a pair of sharp posterior digitiform projections; transtilla projected with an arched, setose process. Aedeagus tubular, slightly curved; vesica armed with a dense series of cornutus. Female genitalia (Fig. 10a): corpus bursae membranous and subpyriform, signum as a posteriorly positioned sclerotized bar; ductus bursae sclerotized, about equal in length to the corpus bursae; antrum elongated, funnel-shaped; anterior apophyses half the length of the posterior apophyses.

Distribution. From Linares to Osorno Provinces. It occurs in the Maule and Valdivian Forest biogeographic provinces (Subantarctic Subregion) of the Andean Region in Chile.

Flight period. Adults have been recorded from September to December.
