  • <p>The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 heralds a new era in the Indian <br>Education System, placing a strong emphasis on the pivotal role of teacher <br>education. In this context this edited volume explores the profound changes <br>and forward thinking strategies proposed by NEP 2020 to enhance the quality <br>of teacher education. This book is structured around three key sub themes, <br>each shedding light on different aspects of the educational reforms. The first <br>sub-theme, Teaching-Learning Process, includes three papers that delve into <br>innovative pedagogical approaches and effective learning strategies advocated <br>by NEP 2020. These papers provide a comprehensive analysis of how these new <br>methods can be integrated into the classroom to create a more engaging and <br>holistic learning experience. The second sub-theme, Teachers and Teacher <br>Education, comprises eight papers that examine the evolving roles and <br>responsibilities of teachers in light of NEP 2020. These contributors discuss <br>the essential pedagogical skills, continuous professional development, and <br>institutional support required for teachers to adapt to and thrive in this new <br>educational paradigm. The third sub-theme is Miscellaneous, features three <br>papers that address broader issues related to the implementation of NEP 2020 in <br>teacher education. These papers offer unique perspectives on various peripheral <br>yet significant elements, ensuring a well-rounded discussion on the reforms.</p>
