Authentic materials, defined as texts created for real-life communication, provide learners with exposure to natural language use and meaningful contexts. The study highlights the benefits of using such materials, including increased learner motivation, improved vocabulary acquisition, development of reading strategies, and enhanced cultural awareness. In addition, the article discusses how authentic texts contribute to the development of critical thinking and learner autonomy. Despite challenges such as linguistic complexity and the need for careful material selection, effective teaching strategies and technological tools can facilitate their successful integration into the classroom.
