  • <div class="page"> <div class="textLayer">Complementary midwifery care is part of the integration of complementary and alternative practices in midwifery to provide essential midwifery care combined with complementary therapy in the form of massage for pregnant women in their third trimester who are experiencing back pain. The intervention was conduct, at the midwifery practice of Ani Andriani in Balida Village, Dawuan District, Majalengka Regency. Method: This study used a descriptive design with a case study approach. Data was collected through anamnesis, documentation, and direct observation of the patient. The midwifery care followed the framework of Hellen Varney's 7-step management, and documentation was done using the SOAP format. Results: The midwifery care combined with complementary massage was successfully implemented for the patient during her third trimester; back pain complaints decreased, and both the mother and fetus were in good condition without complications.Discussion: the application of essential midwifery care accompanied by complementary massage has been proven effective in detecting pregnancy risks and preventing complications, as well as alleviating discomfort from back pain. Support from midwives plays a crucial role in the success of this intervention, and massage therapy shows a positive impact on the comfort of pregnant women.</div> </div>
