-
Hawking’s 1976 black hole information paradox identified a fundamental conflict in semi-classical gravity: information that falls into a black hole appears to be lost when the hole evaporates via thermal Hawking radiation.

Multiple resolutions have been proposed in the literature — black hole complementarity, holographic information storage on the horizon, the Page curve and entanglement wedge reconstruction, the firewall (AMPS) puzzle, and Penrose’s Conformal Cyclic Cosmology — none universally accepted.

The Photonic Universe Hypothesis (PUH) admits a structurally distinct resolution that follows from existing theorems and a logical extension developed in this paper.

The argument proceeds in two connected parts.

PART 1 (information preservation).

Theorem 206 establishes that Planck cores are topologically permanent — they amalgamate but do not evaporate.

Theorem 213 establishes that folding and unfolding rates per unit surface area are equal, so the apparent radiation of a Planck Shell is balanced by ingoing photon flux into the core interior from Shell unfolding events.

The 248-dimensional Planck core has its mass concentrated in a thin Shell at the Phase I-III boundary; the interior is Phase III material.

High-energy photons released inward from Shell unfolding events couple to the Shell matter as polariton-like bound states — hybrid lattice excitations with effective mass approximately 9·m_P per excitation (matching the work function of Theorem 166).

These polariton bound states carry effective mass and therefore can carry information, consistent with the prerequisite that information requires mass-associated degrees of freedom.

Information is therefore preserved inside the core in topologically frozen polariton configurations. It is not destroyed (Hawking) nor signalled out (holographic) but STORED in a dynamically inert state.

From the perspective of an external observer the information appears lost; from the substrate perspective it is preserved.

PART 2 (universe isolation).

The rebound event ejects matter and antimatter universes as polar jets with the throat region containing the asymmetry excess (δ_U = 2/27, Theorem 155).

If high-energy photons in the throat were in polariton states with effective mass, naive intuition suggests gravity could propagate between universes through the throat, drawing them together and producing eventual annihilation.

The continued existence of our matter universe with no antimatter contamination demonstrates this does not occur.

This paper identifies three independent isolation mechanisms operating between the matter and antimatter universes, any single one of which would suffice.

(I) TOPOLOGICAL: the throat is a saddle structure (Phase II), not a polar cap, and gravitational geodesics in each universe are determined by that universe’s own internal mass distribution, not by throat material.

(II) GEOMETRIC DILUTION: the throat stretches with cosmic expansion to approximately 28 Gly current extent; gravitational coupling at this distance is approximately 10⁻⁵⁰ of Earth gravity, negligible by any observational measure.

(III) CAUSAL DISCONNECTION: the polar jets recede faster than light can connect them, placing each universe outside the other’s light cone. No signal — gravitational or otherwise — can pass between them.

Triple isolation is robust and consistent with all observations.

The cosmological constant problem (why the universe doesn’t collapse via mutual gravitational attraction to its antimatter twin) is structurally resolved.

PART 3 (synthesis).

The rebound geometry is structured to BOTH preserve information AND isolate the universes. Information flows from infalling matter into Planck core polariton states (preserved but inaccessible).

The two emergent universes are gravitationally and causally separated by a triply-isolating throat.

The PUH resolution of the information paradox is therefore: information is neither destroyed nor accessible, but structurally locked away in a topologically protected configuration that may serve as the initial condition for a future rebound event.

Five formal results and three falsifiable predictions follow.
