- <p>The first issue of the SPIN-FERT Newsletter (June-December 2024) presents key activities and achievements of the Horizon Europe project focused on sustainable horticulture and soil health. It highlights the project’s innovative approach to transforming agro-industrial by-products into peat-free substrates and fertilisers, supported by advanced tools such as AI-based soil assessment and lab-on-chip technologies. The newsletter showcases extensive dissemination and outreach efforts across Europe, including scientific conferences, industry events, policy dialogues, and public festivals. It also emphasises SPIN-FERT’s distinctive integration of art and science—particularly through participatory initiatives like <em>Breath of Soil – Memory Nexus</em>—to foster public engagement and awareness.
