-
This study explores the concept of linguistic competence, its structural components, and its significance in contemporary society, particularly within the context of intercultural communication. Linguistic competence is understood as a complex system of knowledge and skills that enable effective communication across different cultural contexts. The research examines its main components—lexical, grammatical, pragmatic, and sociolinguistic—and analyzes their role in shaping intercultural interaction. The study also highlights the importance of language education in fostering global citizenship, professional development, and cultural understanding. Special attention is given to methods of developing linguistic competence, including immersive learning, interactionism, and the use of digital technologies. The findings emphasize that linguistic competence serves as a bridge between cultures, reduces communication barriers, and promotes mutual understanding in a globalized world.
