In hybrid warfare, the aggressor employs specific technologies of ideological destruction aimed at eroding Self-identity, as well as civic and corporate solidarity. In this context, there is a pressing demand for a socio-psychological concept of resistance that elucidates the mechanisms for preserving the agency (subjectivity) of societal representatives under intensive information-psychological pressure.

Secondly, traditional approaches to studying stress resilience are insufficient for understanding the nature of contemporary resistance. There is a burgeoning need for socio-psychological research into the "identification congruency" of citizens with elites as a stabilizing factor. The lack of semantic unity between society and state institutions during wartime provokes a diffusion of Self-identity and creates a foothold for the destructive activities of "fifth columns." Successful counteraction to destructive ideological doctrines requires a theoretical substantiation of preventive mechanisms to strengthen the cognitive and value-based immunity of citizens.

Thirdly, administrative arbitrariness and corruption barriers neutralize the development of both science (academic staff) and the market economy (business), making these groups cognate subjects for the study of resistance.

Relevance over a 4–5 Year Horizon

Even following the conclusion of the active phase of hostilities, the problem of civil resistance will remain a priority. Hybrid threats will transform into latent forms of influence aimed at revising national values and disseminating destructive narratives within post-war society. The developed concept will serve as a foundation for the socio-psychological rehabilitation of citizens, the restoration of trust in state institutions, and the formation of a long-term strategy for Ukraine's mental security in international relations.

The research topic will retain its relevance due to the following factors:

· Refinement of Tactics: While overt war crimes may cease, the mechanisms for stripping individuals of their agency will shift toward more subtle instruments of dehumanization via the information space. W. McGuire’s Inoculation Model will remain vital for protecting citizens from ideological, administrative, and corruptive pressures.

· Identity Crisis: The aftermath of war provokes a prolonged identity crisis caused by mass emigration, widespread destruction, heavy casualties, and economic decline. Preventing the diffusion of Self-identity will be a prerequisite for maintaining mental health during periods of sustained social turbulence.

· Role of Elites: In the post-war period, the role of elites will be decisive for social stability. A deficit of identification with elites will leave society vulnerable to hybrid threats and attempts to destabilize the state.

· Reintegration Challenges: The process of reintegrating territories and populations previously subjected to the Aggressor’s ideology will require a deep understanding of mechanisms such as the "agentic state" and "moral disengagement." This research aims to provide tools for readaptation and the corrective influence on such psychological states.

Anti-Corruption Resilience: Since hybrid aggression frequently exploits corruption to erode solidarity, findings regarding an individual's anti-corruption capacity will remain a cornerstone of socio-psychological resistance for professional communities with varying degrees of state dependence.
