-
Abstract: This study examines the effectiveness of the Prepare coursebook for 11th-grade students in developing English language proficiency, with a particular focus on writing skills. The book, published by Cambridge University Press, integrates communicative language teaching principles with structured skill development across reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The analysis highlights how the textbook promotes learner autonomy through task-based activities, collaborative exercises, and real-life communication contexts. Special attention is given to its writing sections, which guide students through stages such as planning, drafting, and revising. However, challenges remain, particularly in addressing cross-linguistic interference among Uzbek, Russian, and English learners. The findings suggest that while Prepare provides a solid foundation for language acquisition, teachers need to supplement materials with targeted instruction to overcome grammatical and lexical difficulties. Overall, the coursebook is a valuable resource when used with adaptive teaching strategies.
