- <p class="MsoNormal"><strong><em><span>Abstract</span></em></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><em><span>Soft skills and emotional intelligence have emerged as essential competencies for students pursuing professional courses, particularly in physical education. These attributes significantly influence teaching effectiveness, leadership ability, interpersonal relationships, and overall personality development. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to perceive, understand, manage, and regulate one’s own emotions and those of others, while soft skills include communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. </span></em></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><em><span>The present study investigates the level of soft skills and emotional intelligence among 50 B.P. Ed students from the College of Education, Barshi. A descriptive survey method was adopted using standardized questionnaires. The study analyzes gender-wise and overall differences in soft skills and emotional intelligence levels. Data were interpreted using statistical tools such as mean, percentage, and graphical representation.</span></em></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><em><span>The findings reveal that most students possess moderate levels of soft skills and emotional intelligence, with a significant correlation between the two variables. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating soft skills training into physical education curriculum to enhance employability and professional effectiveness.</span></em></p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
