  • <p>European integration exerts a significant influence on educational policies and school objectives, emphasizing the development of civic competences and democratic values. In this context, contemporary schools play a central role in preparing students to become engaged, responsible, and active citizens. Our article explores the educational dimensions of European integration, focusing on how civic competences and democratic values can be fostered within the school environment. The study is based on an analysis of specialized literature and relevant European documents, highlighting the importance of curriculum design, educational climate, and participatory teaching strategies in supporting education for democracy. The findings indicate that incorporating European principles and values into education can strengthen civic culture and cultivate a democratic mindset among students, with positive effects on social cohesion and civic engagement.<br><br></p>
