-
As a result of the research, it was found that the Alyssum L. genus, which was involved in the study in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic flora, belongs to the family of Brassicaceae Burnett. There are 338 genera and more than 3700 species of the genus spread throughout the world. 165 species collected in 67 genera grow in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic flora. These species spread in various altitude zones and ecological environments. The Alyssum genus is mainly xerophytic species and spreads in the areas suitable for the climate of the Autonomous Republic. The Alyssum L. genus in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic flora is one of the genera with the largest number of species of the Brassicaceae Burnett family. There are more than 100 species of the Alyssum L. genus in the world, 21 in Azerbaijan, and 13 in the flora of Nakhchivan. In this regard, the specific species composition of the Alyssum L. genus, the spreading pattern of species, their origin and other specific features have been investigated in the research work. Most of the species belonging to the Alyssum L. genus are used in ornamental plants, medicine, chemical industry, as food because of their significant feed value, and none of the species is poisonous. The biological characteristics of the species belonging to the Alyssum L. genus have been clarified, botanical descriptions and phenological observations have been made. The ecological indicators of the plants have been studied, and the density of plants, their role in plant groups and all botanical descriptions in general have been obtained using the latest methods during the research.
