•
Within the two-clock cosmological framework Quantum Traction Theory (QTT), gravity is not sourced by absolute vacuum bulk fullness. It is sourced by a local imbalance in the endurance/creation ledger. This article states the QTT alternative to the cosmological-constant problem in its sharpest form.

What this paper does

Kills the weak claim first. The Friedmann Planck-unit vacuum equation ρΛ/ρP = (3/8π)(HΛtP)² is proved to be an algebraic identity of the flat Friedmann equation — not a QTT prediction. This is stated and proved in Section 2.

Derives the gravitational coupling from the endurance-current ledger. The QTT-native gravitational coupling G = ℓ̃²c³/ℏ is derived from the A2 sink law and a no-knob constitutive projection with the dimensionless coefficient χ = 1 forced by A1/A6/A7 capacity saturation — no free coupling knob.

Replaces bare Λ with a creation-current term. The cosmological term Λeffc² = (c/ℓ̃)C₀(T) is time-dependent rather than constant, sourced by the White-Void creation ledger.

Provides the first explicit Standard-Model sector matching. A free, massless scalar zero-point common mode in a boundary-free homogeneous vacuum has QTT ledger image (δC, δS, δℬ) = (0, 0, 0). It does not gravitate in QTT. This is the first nontrivial sector audit; Dirac, gauge, massive scalar, condensate, and Higgs sectors remain separate audits.

States a sharp future discriminator. QTT predicts asymptotic coasting return qlab → 0, instead of the constant-Λ de Sitter limit q → −1. DESI DR2 BAO results (March 2025) show directionally consistent hints of evolving dark energy at 2.8–4.2σ significance depending on the supernova dataset combination.

The QTT ontological break

The standard cosmological-constant catastrophe arises because semiclassical gravity treats a homogeneous zero-point bulk energy as a direct source of curvature. QTT rejects this coupling assumption. The QTT gravitational source is the renewal ledger imbalance:

∇·g = (c/ℓ̃)(C − S)

A uniform, address-complete shift of vacuum capacity that changes no creation rate, no endurance sink, and no boundary/modular access datum produces no gravitational source. The huge QFT vacuum estimate is not fine-tuned to be small; it is excluded from the source.

Three logically separate claims

Source axiom: gravity sees the renewal ledger (C − S), not absolute bulk fullness.

Conditional ledger corollary: any vacuum contribution with ledger image (0, 0, 0) produces no curvature in QTT.

SM matching conjecture (open): all homogeneous Standard-Model zero-point common modes map to (0, 0, 0). This is a concrete, falsifiable calculation programme — not a completed theorem.

Cross-domain locks from the same axiom set

The cosmological-constant argument is not isolated. The same QTT axiom set produces:

The neutrino mass-squared ratio Rν = 4π²cos²(π/8) = 33.697 (NuFIT 6.0: 0.16σ residual)

The cosmic baryon invariant 18Ωb(HT₀)² = 1 (Planck 2018: 0.18σ residual)

The Hubble branch ratio Hlate/Hearly = sec(π/8) ≈ 1.0824

The no-knob gravitational coefficient χ = 1

The one-ruler capacity audit across gravity, UV bounds, and transport limits

Version history

v1.1 — Removed weak Friedmann-identity headline; introduced no-bulk-source ontology.

v1.2 — Added Lorentz-wall section; derived integer 24; added precise DESI DR2 numbers.

v1.3 — Split no-bulk-source into source axiom, conditional corollary, and SM matching conjecture (three logically independent statements).

v1.4 — Added free scalar zero-point worked example; all QTT self-citations now carry Zenodo DOIs.

Related QTT publications

A.
