Dr. Penry served as Chief of the Epilepsy Branch at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), where he played a central role in shaping epilepsy research, seizure classification, antiepileptic drug development, and national epilepsy policy during the latter half of the 20th century. The poster was created by Roger J. Porter, MD, in 2026 to mark the 75th Anniversary of NINDS, and draws on the author's direct professional association with Dr. Penry.
