  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming higher education across India, particularly in Karnataka, a leading technology hub. This paper examines the opportunities and challenges of AI integration in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Karnataka. AI enhances personalized learning, administrative efficiency, and employability, but also introduces challenges such as infrastructure gaps, ethical concerns, and lack of faculty training. The study highlights the importance of institutional readiness, policy support, and skill development for effective AI adoption. The findings suggest that while AI holds great potential, its success depends on balanced and responsible implementation.
