Beyond sketch inhibition...

Primary empirical materials underlying the grounded theory of veiled contempt (desprecio camuflado) for freehand drawing in design education. Six items are included:

codificacion-docentes.odt / .pdf — Open coding exported from MaxQDA of 21 semi-structured teacher interviews conducted March–September 2023 at design degree programmes in the Community of Madrid. 1,083 coded segments across 29 open codes, consolidated into 25 axial codes. Full interview transcripts are deposited as appendices of the doctoral thesis in the URJC institutional repository (see Related identifiers).

codificacion-alumnos.odt / .pdf — Open coding of 10 student interviews conducted April–May 2023. 452 coded segments across 22 open codes, consolidated into 18 axial codes presented in 20 narrative sections. Student codes e-01 to e-10 correspond to S-01 to S-10 in the associated manuscript.

guias-docentes.zip— Collection of publicly available course guides across design degree programmes in the Community of Madrid (2022–23 academic year). Contains no personal identifiers. The PDF documents in this archive are official course guides published publicly by Madrid-area higher education institutions and retrieved from their institutional websites in 2023. They are reproduced here solely for scholarly documentation of the systematic review corpus (Chapter 3 of the thesis). Copyright in each document remains with its issuing institution. Their inclusion constitutes fair use for non-commercial academic research purposes under Spanish law.

asignaturas-grados-diseño-madrid.ods — Systematic review dataset course guides across public and private design degree programmes in the Community of Madrid (2022–23 academic year). Contains subject names, search terms, semester, and credit data. No personal identifiers.

encuestas-inhibicion.ods — Raw responses from a 203-student Likert survey on sketch inhibition, 11 items (labelled a–k in the manuscript, stored here as descriptive column headers) plus a course group variable. 95% confidence interval, 5% margin of error. No personal identifiers.

T-NN-correspondence.ods — Maps participant codes T-01 to T-21, as used in the associated manuscript, to full names, institutions, and coded segment counts. All participants gave informed consent to identification by name.
