-
In [4] the influence of taking into account the dimension of space on some equations of mathematical physics was considered. In the present work the inverse question is investigated: in what situations does the behavior of a physical system lead to a change in the dimension of the configuration space describing that system. Using the example of a chain of microscopic magnetic moments in an external field, it is shown that the alignment of the moments along a preferred direction lowers the dimension of the configuration space. Operations B- and A+ are introduced that count the lowering and raising of the dimension, respectively. A morphism is obtained that relates the evolution operator of the physical system to the derivative of the dimension modulus of the configuration space.
