Unfortunately, the original material identified earlier as <i>Passaloecus insignis</i> (Vander Linden, 1829) [Humala, 2006; Jakovlev <i>et al.</i>, 2014], was not possible to re-examine, as it was not returned by M. Mokrousov. Most likely, these specimens were identified incorrectly, since according to updated data, the range of this species does not extend so far north and probably these Karelian digger wasps should be considered as <i>P. taigaensis</i>.</p>
