The study substantiates that a transport hub should be considered not only as a point of spatial intersection of transport lines, but also as an integrated transport and logistics system where material, information and organizational flows are coordinated. The economic nature of interaction between railway, road, maritime and air transport is revealed through complementarity of their technological and cost advantages, reduction of total logistics costs and improvement of supply chain sustainability. Special attention is paid to multimodal logistics centers as the most effective organizational form of transport process integration. Their role is determined through terminal, warehouse, coordination, information and service functions. The article also analyzes the main organizational forms of interaction between transport modes and summarizes foreign approaches to the development of multimodal logistics centers. It is concluded that the formation of multimodal logistics centers ensures the transition from fragmented transport interaction to integrated management of cargo flows within a unified logistics environment.
