- <p>This repository contains a Python script that reproduces Figure 7 of the manuscript:</p> <p>Chen, J.-S., Liao, Z.-Y., Suk, H., Liu, C.-W., Liang, C.-P., and Ho, Y.-C. (2026). Semi-Analytical Solution for Multispecies Reactive Transport with Nonequilibrium Sorption in Dual-Domain PRB-Aquifer Systems: Implications for PRB Design (submitted to Water Resources Research).</p> <p>The script computes the species-specific permeable reactive barrier (PRB) thickness required to meet maximum contaminant levels (MCL) at a downstream compliance distance for a four-species sequential degradation chain (PCE -> TCE -> DCE -> VC). Three formulations from the manuscript are evaluated and compared: the exact solution (Eq. 11b), the approximate analytical solution (Eq. 16), and the first-order Taylor-corrected explicit approximation (Eq. 21).</p> <p>See readme.txt in this repository for details on usage, input parameters, and software requirements.</p>
