-
This article delineates the findings of a comprehensive study investigating molecular-genetic and biochemical predictors of metabolic dysregulation among employees in the polymer-manufacturing sector. A significant correlative relationship was established between the duration of occupational exposure to styrene and acrylonitrile and the genetic polymorphism of the detoxification system (GSTM1, GSTT1). Furthermore, the study identified specific alterations in the lipid profile and oxidative stress markers, facilitating the diagnosis of premorbid conditions at their nascent stages. Based on these findings, evidence-based recommendations for the nutritional correction of the identified metabolic imbalances were developed.
