- <p>This article examines the history of the party purge in 1920-1925 based on the analysis of archival documents. Analysis of the texts shows that the initial stage of the purge of the party covered all social categories and the Kazakh people experienced colonial oppression not only in the socio-economic sphere but also in the spiritual sphere. If public discourse creates the basis for political order and builds the relationships with the public necessary for government, then the documents show that it can be used as an instrument of power.</p>
