-
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the linguoculturological approach in modern translation studies, its stages of formation, and its role in scientific research. Through the key categories of the linguoculturological approach—cultural code, concept, lacuna, and discourse—the semantic and pragmatic issues arising in the translation process are revealed. In addition, based on the works of foreign and local researchers, the theoretical and practical aspects of the linguoculturological approach are comparatively analyzed. As a result of the study, it is substantiated that the linguoculturological approach is an important methodological basis for ensuring translation adequacy.
