-
Since the establishment of special relativity, the speed of light in vacuum has served as the core velocity benchmark of modern physics and is regarded as the impassable upper limit of material and information propagation. This benchmark system has supported the development of numerous physical theories and been verified by massive experimental results. Nevertheless, with the deepening exploration of extreme physical phenomena, observed phenomena such as quantum entanglement, cosmic recession and apparent superluminal motion continuously challenge the boundary of the single light-speed benchmark. Restricting all velocity measurement within the scope below the speed of light causes cognitive shielding and hinders the exploration of unknown high-speed motion. Based on the construction logic and practical defects of the existing benchmark, this paper puts forward the construction idea of a universally compatible new velocity standard. The new system retains the effectiveness of mature physical achievements, abandons artificially set velocity limits, realizes unified measurement of all velocity levels, and provides an open methodological framework for the expansion of basic physics research.
