-
Addendum to the original Zenodo upload Vang Scale Quantization: Discrete Quantization of Fundamental Physical Scales (February 2026).

This addendum reports a rigorous null-hypothesis test of the 2-3-137 pattern X = (2^a * 3^b) * 10^(-137/n). Of 1620 candidate patterns, only 1 of 8 physical constants matches at <0.5% relative error, compared to 11 of 100 random targets in the same logarithmic range. The binomial p-value is 0.61, indicating no statistically significant preference of the pattern for physical constants over random targets.

The reported 0.01%-0.2% precisions in the original paper measure differences in log10 space, not standard relative error; the relative error on actual values is typically 0.3%-1.7%.

The pattern is best interpreted as a numerical coincidence exercise rather than a claim of underlying physical mechanism. The original paper is not retracted; this addendum provides proper statistical context.
