Sumário:
  • We apply the Displacement Framework to anorexia nervosa, formalizing it as an ego-syntonic wrong attractor W_AN — a self-reinforcing configuration distinguished from ego-dystonic disorders by the fact that the wrong attractor presents itself to the sufferer as the ground state. The nutritional ground state S°_nutritional is defined across five dimensions: weight restoration, metabolic function normalization, undistorted body image, healthy food relationship, and full cognitive function. Three interlocking components construct W_AN: the control illusion (phenomenological experience of thinness as mastery), starvation-induced neurobiological reinforcement (serotonergic and opioid pathways below the level of belief), and identity fusion (self-concept organized around thinness such that recovery threatens identity annihilation). Nine formal propositions are derived covering: S°_nutritional multi-component definition, the ego-syntonic architecture and why AN differs from OCD and MDD in treatment resistance, starvation-induced cognitive narrowing as sensor degradation (the Minnesota Starvation Experiment as formal demonstration), the basin deepening ratchet (metabolic adaptation, habituation, identity consolidation, medical complications), medical instability as landscape constraint on return path traversal, family-based treatment as external gradient restoration for adolescents, CBT-E as cognitive restructuring of the wrong-attractor restoring force, weight restoration priority over insight as energetic prerequisite, and the palliative care threshold where return path traversal cost exceeds available resources.
