- <p>During the keynote lecture entitled “The roadmap in the electrochemical paper-based analytical devices,” Prof. Fabiana Arduini presented the progress achieved in the development of electrochemical paper-based analytical devices, with particular emphasis on their biomedical applications. The lecture highlighted how these sustainable, low-cost, and versatile platforms are emerging as promising point-of-care diagnostic tools capable of supporting decentralized and patient-centered healthcare solutions.</p> <p>Prof. Fabiana Arduini discussed the development of paper-based electrochemical platforms for the detection of clinically relevant biomarkers, emphasizing their potential in disease monitoring, early diagnosis, and continuous patient follow-up outside centralized laboratories. The presentation also addressed the importance of translating these technologies from research laboratories into real-world clinical applications.</p> <p>Finally, the lecture explored future perspectives in the field, including the integration of paper-based analytical devices with wearable systems and digital technologies for more accessible, rapid, and personalized biomedical diagnostics.</p>
