- <p><b><i>Ichneumon incanescens</i> Smith, 1874</b></p><p>(Figure 17)</p><p><i>Taxonomic history.</i> Heinrich (1937) formally transferred this species to <i>Tricholabus</i> Thomson, 1894, although Claude Morley had already reidentified this as a species of <i>Tricholabus</i> in December 1915, as in Figure 17 (a) (unpublished data). Moreover, Uchida (1940a) also transferred <i>Ichneumon incanescens</i> to <i>Tricholabus strigatorius</i> (Gravenhorst, 1829), as a subspecies.</p><p><i>Current taxonomy.</i> <i>Tricholabus strigatorius incanescens</i> (Smith, 1874) (Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae: Ichneumonini).</p><p><i>Type number.</i> Type 3b.299. Specimen # NHMUK010881022</p><p><i>Type status.</i> Holotype.</p><p><i>Sex.</i> Female.</p><p><i>Type locality.</i> Hyôgo Prefecture, Honshû, Japan.</p><p><i>Label data.</i> First label, ‘ Type /C.M.’ (round label, with red margin; first line printed and second line handwriting); second label, ‘B.M. TYPE /HYM./3.b.299’ (square label; first and second lines printed and third line handwriting); third label, ‘Hiogo/ Japan.’ (square label; first line handwriting and second line printed); fourth label, ‘74/16’ (round label; handwriting); fifth label, ‘ Ichneumon /incanescens/ Type Smith’ (square</p><p>label; handwriting); sixth label, ‘genus/ TRICHOLABUS,/Thoms. ♀ /Morley det. Xii 1915.’ (square label; handwriting except for ‘Morley det.’ printed).</p><p><i>Condition.</i> Very good, but right antenna broken at 39th flagellomere and left antenna at 37th flagellomere.</p>
